A very FRIGHTENING experience, years ago, when

A VERY FRIGHTENING experience, when I resided

on the island years ago.  The typhoon was "off"

the island by 100 miles, but enough to make

buildings sway. The idea that everyone else was

gone, was all that I could think of as my stomach

jerked with the winds.  The rains seeped in every

seam of the room, leaving a pool of water on the

floor.

When, my dog wanted to go "out", I looked at him

and pointed to the floor..."just go", right there!

Island living is a nice experience, if one can get

away from the forceful storms.  Otherwise, flatten

down like a pancake and hope for the best.
