WHO is in charge, here? Child protective services in Florida is in the spotlight for ignoring the needs for children and putting them into danger.
What is going on in the state that cannot even step-up and protect the children and the elderly?
Children need homes with good loving families. Is it possible to find homes where adults can provide security and educational opportunities with love for children?
The seniors on the other side of the room, need safe protective care as they age and sometimes have no choice but to move into a facility. Yet, cases arise all over the state of abuse and neglect on the elderly. No laws to protect the seniors as the state legislators have cow-towed to the lobbysists for the nursing home industry.
Looks like both ends of life are in a dire situation in Florida. As a youngster, children become victims. As an elder, the seniors also become targets.
Time for the legislators in Tallahassee to get back to the job of doing right by the people all the time...and remember that they are "hired" to keep ALL the people safe and protected in the state.
