Rick Scott, Florida's governor has swept into the state from Texas to make the citizens comply or move-on-down-the-road.
What the governor fails to "get" is that workers contribute to that fund for unemployment benefits. The "benefits" are not a freebie! They are earned dollars that the state has now decided the workers will not get back unless they are able by some miracle prove that they truly deserve to have their own money BACK!
Right-to-work state as the GOP likes to push out is not a guarantee for an employee that he will have a long term position. Neither can the union promise every worker that his job as he lies at the bottom of the ladder will be okay tomorrow.
When, Walmart and HP can lay off thousands of workers for economic gains, there is proof that job protection is not an American right.
But, to use excuses as lame as Rick Scott spits out is an insult to hard working stiffs that put in their time and hoped that the job would continue.
W/o cause a LOT of workers get laid off, in the states particularily not interested in the benefits of the employees. Not much of a promise for workers, unless they are self-employed and they can make or break their own fortune of luck.
