The vulnerable reach out, as they realize they have a need for care.  When, the doors are shut, the situation becomes more desperate.

Twenty minutes north of Bradenton, where Senator Mike Bennett resides, the elderly retirees start to feel the pain of hunger and lonliness as they see darker days. Many of the calls for ambulance service, rush down the streets to seniors that have purposely over-dosed on pills. Some of those seniors are sent to facilities for mental attention till they feel strong enough if they can, return home again. Others "don't make it".

The elderly face the loss of spouses, friends and jobs, bringing on a sense of strong depression. Some of them make the decision to end-their-lives before the "maker" calls them. With cut backs, many age groups linger in an abyss of the deep hole of need, and there is none to be had.

It is always well and good, for a politician to sit in a comfy leather chair, with the heat or the air-conditioner working and a full belly after lunch to go into a tirade of how "others" must sacrifice in difficult times. When, the well-fed, and well-paid politicians start to cut-back on their expenses and take less pay, the budgets will start to stretch a little bit further for their constituents.
