Is common sense and civility a dead issue in America? Is the reality of today making people so numb with hunger and anguish that they no longer can "see" what is so apparant?
Ordinary folks already KNEW that as their jobs were eliminated for higher profit margins, YEARS ago, they faced a dire employment situation. Now, the intellects finally come to the table with "solutions"!
The reality of homelessness was on the forefront of those losing jobs in construction, manufacturing and agrigulture long before the "brains" woke-up.
Crime rates soar. Families in strife and anger. Incomes at record-lows. Bush built up his forum and the backers, smiled with glee at higher gains.
When, people take to the streets in protest, it is not from a whim, but, with a necessity that has driven that desire to say "enough"!
Once again the wealthy lords are flickering through the country-sides making promises, that they will never keep. They are not facing hunger. They know of no job loss. They do not realize the pain of frustration.
When a hungry person knows the rewards of their efforts, they can breathe with pride. When a child is handed the riches of the vault and told to just go and play, they have no knowledge of struggle. Too many politicians from local to State and into Federal do NOT know the people, nor will they ever bother to "listen" to what is so apparant in front of them.
We are a lost society dealing with by far more than just the lack of employment. We see our children fighting back with anger at a system that should be working for them and with them. We see parents losing the position of being able to say to their offspring, "working and being honest" is the path to follow. Corporations took that opportunity away. The government allowed them to do as they please....and the workers were the losers.
Once, again for a minute, "plain, ordinary" people can be heard for a minute, before the cameras fade and the hours go on by....use your ability to make those minutes count.
