FLORIDA HAD BETTER STEP-UP TO THE PLATE! The care of the elderly in the retirement capital of the world had been a sham. All in the name of profits and poor care for the seniors.
Now, FINALLY, the legislators decide to do something about a very very serious problem. Fl. State Senator Mike Bennet, Manatee Co. proposed a House Bill to cut down on AHCA inspections, when more were desperately needed in the state, three years ago.
The next step is to list corporate owners of these facilities that were bundled together under investment portfolios on Wall Street and then sold to ANYONE that wanted to purchase the care facilities housing the aged and the dying.
A crime in progress as abuse increased and deaths were hidden because of poor care. Nearly too late to save the affected now by a poor system. Much too late, for those that already died because of it!!!!!
