Timeshare sales were the easy fat in Orlando. Everyone wants to eventually get to Orlando. Resorts in Kissimmee turned into time share units in the mid-80's, with files of owners held in the vaults.
Realtors selling those units were making BIG bucks and living very well in Orange County. Then, the problems began as people tried to pull out of those weeks of ownership in the 1990's.
Suits against owners clogged the Orange County courts. The resorts are filled with units now that sit and wait for a new market to open-up.
