FINE! Eliminate the panhandlers on-the-side of the roads at stoplights and corners with signs, declaring "hungry". Take away the sight of men, women and sometimes children sitting by the side waiting for coins or a dollar shoved out the rolled-down window.
But, where will the group move to? Will they slide down the alley in a town and wait for a shopper to scurry by and follow them? Will they cross the street in downtown Orlando and confront the tourist with a request?
Or will more women be accosted in the parking lots as their purses are dragged-off of their shoulders? Will more old ladies be stopped as they head for their cars and told to "hand-it-over".
W/i three weeks, someone has "rattled" my doorknobs in the dark, once and during the daylight hours a second time.
Anyone coming inside my house, will find a very angry and avenging human being approaching them, as they realize they made a serious mistake and retreat.
The streets are now a silent war zone with many victims being approached by people w/o jobs....w/o income...hungry and in pain.
There has to be a solution...for just telling someone to get off of the parkway...is not going to solve the problem.
