MRSA/Staph infections are a very serious concern for not only the aged, but children, also.
The world is opening up more rooms and people become more susceptible to germs, when the immune system is not ready for the attack.
One small spot becoming infected w/MRSA or Staph can quickly spread and require isolation once in the hospital.
It is much better to be preventive when possible. To see a newborn being cut on the chin to open up the infection for draining, was not a pleasant sight.
To find out that the spot on a newborn was infected w/Staph was the reality of "yesterday".
Now, with MRSA, the seriousness of the situation is near panic proportions and we cannot close our eyes.
